The Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry, Stockholm University, is one of the leading departments in inorganic materials chemistry and structural characterization (www.mmk.su.se). We seek a post-doctoral scientist to perform research on spark plasma sintering. The recruited candidate will work in a research group having strong on-going research activities on developing materials with tailored chemical and structural heterogeneities.
Eligibility
The applicant should have a PhD in Chemistry or Physics or Materials Science and Engineering with strong focus on materials processes. Hands-on experience in spark plasma sintering and electron microscopes is an advantage. The applicant needs to have a PhD not older than 3 years.
Selection criteria
The selection is based primarily on scientific excellence. Preference will be given to applicants with experience on spark plasma sintering and refractory materials.
Conditions of employment
The position is full time for six months starting from April 2013, with extension possibility of another year.
