Project description
The Stress Research Institute at Stockholm University is a prominent and leading research centre in the area of stress, sleep and health. The Institute conducts basic and applied research using multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary methodological approaches.
Our mission is to study how individuals and groups are affected by different social environments, with a particular focus on stress reactions and health factors. The long-term objective of our research is to contribute to improved public health. Since 2009, the Stress Research Institute has been part of the Stockholm Stress Center – a FAS “Center of Excellence” for interdisciplinary research on work-related stress and health.
For several years, the Division of Epidemiology at the Stress Research Institute has collaborated with the Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine at Umeå University.
