A number of PhD scholarships are available at the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology, DTU Nanotech, starting in the beginning of 2013. The subject of the PhD project must be within one of the main research areas of the department:
- New materials, Fabrication technologies and Tools
- Energy, Environment and Security
- Components & Technologies in Life Sciences
- Drug Delivery & Diagnostics
QualificationsCandidates should have (or soon obtain) a master's degree in engineering or a similar degree with an equivalent academic level. Candidates may apply prior to obtaining their master's degree, but cannot begin the PhD education before having received the grade.
To apply for these scholarships candidates must obtain an agreement with a supervisor at DTU Nanotech concerning a specific project. To be considered for a scholarship, candidates must enclose endorsement from a supervisor and a project description. See under “Application”.
If you are not already in dialogue with a supervisor at DTU Nanotech, you have to complete a form. Supervisors may check the submissions for qualified candidates within their field of research. Please note that filling out the form is no guarantee that you will be contacted.
Salary and appointment terms The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD students at DTU. The period of employment is 3 years.
