The Earthquake Safe Buildings Doctoral Scholarship has been established in recognition of those people who lost their lives on 22 February 2011 as a result of collapsed buildings from the Christchurch earthquake.
The scholarship is for a Doctoral student aiming to work in the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury on a research topic associated with design or construction techniques for buildings. The work should be focussed on reducing the loss of life in future seismic events, and should benefit Christchurch during its rebuild.

Intending PhD students in strutural engineering in the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering
