The University of Essex School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, and LPA Industries Ltd are looking for someone to use their knowledge and experience of electronics and communications technology to develop new Ethernet and RF connectors for trains. The post is fixed-term for 24 months and based at the LPA Industries Ltd offices in Saffron Walden.
The ideal candidate will hold at least a first or upper second class honours degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, and have some experience of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture in mechanical products. Candidates should also possess:
- Strong project management and practical skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
The package includes a technical and personal training allowance of £4,000, and the opportunity to achieve a higher degree, if appropriate. In addition to this, you will register for a Diploma in Management.
Salary: £21,500 - £23,000 per annum
