UK: Instrumentation Research/Teaching Assistant Mechatronics

Candidates should have an Engineering based degree (or equivalent) such as (but not exclusively), Mechanical, Electronic or Computing, and have Computing skills and competency in at least one programming language (i.e. C, C++, C# etc). Candidates will have a demonstrable mechanical aptitude and a practical approach to Engineering, be proactive, self-motivated and show a practical approach to work and the ability to prioritise their own workload to meet deadlines. It is essential that they have good communication skills and enjoy working with students.
CAD skill (such as solid works), practical experience of automotive or agricultural electronics such as automotive control systems and CAN/ISObus, practical experience of building mechatronic systems or instrumentation, or experience with UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) or AGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles) would be an advantage.
This is a full- time permanent role working Monday - Friday 37 hours a week. There may be an occasional requirement for overtime working, plus the attendance of open days, time off in lieu will be allowed for hours worked in excess of 37 per week.
