Summary:
A KTP Associate is required to work with LabLogic Systems Ltd, a worldwide market leader in the supply of instrumentation and software solutions to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, nuclear and positron emission tomography (PET) sectors. This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Sheffield and LabLogic seeks to develop a new product line that will complement LabLogic's existing range of radiation safety monitoring systems. Specifically, during this programme, the Associate will be engaged with the development of a new, electronic-based monitoring system that is compliant to the IEC 61508 functional safety standard and other relevant industry standards. The Associate will apply analogue, digital and embedded processing techniques to provide a solution to the technical and regulatory requirements. The post provides an ideal opportunity to undertake cutting-edge research and development within a commercial context; the successful applicant will be encouraged to register to study for a higher degree and supported to
attend international conferences and publish articles in relevant journals.
Applicants should possess a good honours degree in electronic engineering or related area (or have equivalent experience). You should have experience of analogue, digital and embedded system design and have a good understanding of electronic system design principles from concept to production.
This post is fixed-term for 24 months
