University of Essex Duration: 3 years full-time
  • University of Essex Doctoral Scholarship – worth £16,250 per year comprising fee waiver (or partial fee waiver for overseas students) to a maximum value of £4,000, living costs of £12,000 per year (consisting of a stipend and Graduate Teaching and Research Assistantship), plus a training bursary of £250 per year 

Overview
This University of Essex Doctoral Scholarship is intended to support a talented PhD student to study History at the University. This award is available to a student who can demonstrate an excellent academic background and the potential for future achievement, as well as financial need. It is awarded for each year of study during the standard minimum period of enrolment for your degree, subject to satisfactory progress. Financial details as follows:

The scholarship is available to UK, EU and international full-time doctoral students. The deadline for applications is 4pm, 12 June 2013 and we will notify successful candidates by 18 June 2013.
