Salary (which will be subject to UK taxation & superannuation) will be at the EU Marie Curie rate of €50,226.75 per annum with an additional contribution to the costs of mobility allowance of €11,289.60-€16,128 per annum.
Applications are invited for a Research Associate post. The candidate will be recruited as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher to work within the FP-7 PEOPLE-2012 Initial Training Network DECIDE (Decision making within cells and differentiation entity therapies, www.birmingham.ac.uk/decide). The work of this EU-funded programme aims to explore how the various blood and immune cells develop and differentiate, starting from a haematopoietic stem cell, with the ultimate aim of using the information gained to develop more effective differentiation therapies for leukaemias and lymphomas.
The candidate should have a first class degree in Life Science or Medicine and be expected to register for a PhD.  
To qualify for the post, by the time of appointment, applicants must not have more than 4 years research experience since gaining a University degree which would entitle them to embark on doctoral studies in the country the degree was received.
