Purpose and Main DutiesApplications are invited for two part-time positions as graduate teaching assistants in the Department of Biological Sciences, Birkbeck, University of London (http://www.bbk.ac.uk/biology/).

The applicant will be expected to pursue studies leading towards a PhD and to provide part-time teaching assistance (20 hours per week during term time). The duties of the teaching will include delivery and preparation of teaching materials at both undergraduate and postgraduate levelas well as demonstrating in practical classes.

Candidates are invited to submit their own research project description or contact academic staff to develop research proposals. Possible areas of research include: Structural biology, Microbiology, Computational biology, Chemical biology, Cell biology or Biophysics.
