About the Post
Applications are invited for a PhD fellowship, working under the supervision of Dr Jens-Dominik Mueller in the School of Engineering & Materials Science, Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL), as part of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network about Flow, on a project focusing on the development of effective numerical optimisation methods in aerodynamics.
Requirements
Candidates need to fulfil the EC’s eligibility criteria: you must have graduated with a first degree in engineering, applied mathematics or computer science at most 4 years ago. The Fellows at QMUL must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the UK for more than 12 months since November 2009. The project is committed to equal opportunity for all applicants and will adhere to The European Charter for Researchers.
Remuneration & Benefits
The post is available for a fixed term period of 36 months, and the successful candidate will be registered for the PhD programme at Queen Mary, University of London. The appointment will be on a fixed salary of £37,416 per annum which includes the single person’s mobility allowance or £40,320 per annum which includes the married person’s mobility allowance (depending on the exchange rate with the Euro).
Additional Information
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration,Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entryclearance or continued leave to remain under the Points BasedImmigration Scheme.
