Salary (which will be subject to UK taxation & superannuation) will be at the EU Marie Curie rate of €45,714 per annum with an additional contribution to the costs of mobility allowance of €10,105.20 - €14,436 per annum.

The University of Birmingham School of Dentistry is based in the City Centre is part of the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. We seek to appoint a capable and highly motivated individual to provide research support for the project entitled ‘Associations between periodontitis/tooth loss and RA disease markers’.
To be involved in the design, execution and analysis of clinical studies with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and the characterisation (clinical and serological) of cohorts of RA patients with regards to chronic periodontitis and tooth loss. The research will involve investigation of the associations between subsets of patients, and validation of questionnaire and biomarker data in RA patients.
The work will require regular co-ordination and interaction with other researchers working with the ‘Rheumatoid Arthritis and Periodontal Inflammatory Disease (RAPID)’ Initial Training Network.
The candidate should have a first class degree in either Dentistry or Medicine and should not hold a PhD. An interest in, preferably with some relevant experience of, rheumatology (physicians) or periodontology (dentists). Excellent communication skills and abililty to work as part of a team and indeptendently using own initiative.
