7 Scholarships leading to a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
The Institutes of Mechanical, Process & Energy Engineering and Sensors, Signals & Systems at Heriot-Watt University are advertising 7 James Watt Scholarships leading to a PhD in either Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering across a range of topics, to start in autumn 2013.  These scholarships provide stipend and full fees for 3 years and available to both UK/EU students (stipend £15k pa) and overseas students (stipend £10k pa).
All applicants must have or expect to have a 1st class MEng or equivalent degree by Autumn 2013.  Selection will be based on academic excellence and research potential, and all short-listed applicants will be interviewed (in person, by 'phone or by Skype).
