The University of Camerino School of Advanced Studies (hereafter SAS) is opening a call for participation in doctoral courses (28th cycle) in the following areas of scientific research, organized into different curricula as listed below:
a) Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology:
1) Chemical Sciences;
2) Pharmaceutical Sciences;
b) Law, Economy and Society:
1) Civil Law and Constitutional Legality;
2) Economic development: analysis, policy, and theory (in cooperation with the
University of Macerata)
3) Fundamental Rights in the Global Society;
4) Public Services;
5) Social Sciences on Work and Legality;
c) Life Sciences and Public Health:
1) Ageing and Nutrition;
2) Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology;
3) Environmental Sciences and Public Health;
4) Malaria and Human Development;
5) Veterinary Medical Sciences and Public Health (the Italian degree in Veterinary
Medicine or its non-Italian equivalent is required for admission);
d) Science and Technology:
1) Information Science and Complex Systems;
2) Physics;
3) Earth Sciences.
At least 25 scholarships are awarded:
two scholarships are funded under the programme Marie Curie Actions – Initial Training
Networks with title cQOM- Cavity Quantum Optomechanics (cQOM) n.:2960161 and are
reserved for the Area of Research: Science and technology, PhD curriculum in Physics.
Details on the research topics related to these two scholarships (“Optomechanics in a
membrane-in-the-middle setup” and “Optomechanics in the strong coupling regime”), are

procedure. Please provide the names of three professors or research collaborators who will act as referees on your behalf. It is your responsibility to ensure that at least one of your three referees provide us with this reference. We must receive this reference not later than 24 th
September 2012. Please note that if we do not receive this reference letter you will be automatically excluded from the admission/selection procedure.
The gross amount of the scholarships is 1,137 Euros (one thousand one hundred and thirty seven) per month,
