Canada: PhD/MS positions in computer engineering

We are seeking for two candidates (Master and PhD) to join our computer vision reserch group in Memorial University in Newfound computer engineering-thesis route. Our Research intersets include: Video and image processing, Object identification and tracking in outdoor environment. Intelligent cameras. New algorithms for emerging industrial applications with emphasis on oil&gas and marine technologies. Software design of video surveillance systems

Required skills:

• Knowledge in FPGA and DSP
• Computer Engineering / Computer Science (Knowledge in hardware implementation and integration is mandatory)
• Strong knowledge in C/C++.
• Minimum score is very good.
• knowledge in computer vision and image processing is a plus.
• Knowledge in embedded Linux is mandatory for PhD candidate.
