As indicated, applications are being accepted for the Autumn deadline for 25 PhD positions with fellowships in the Faculty of Sciences for the academic year 2013-2014 as follows:
As indicated, applications are being accepted for the Autumn deadline for 25 PhD positions with fellowships in the Faculty of Sciences for the academic year 2013-2014 as follows:
- 5 positions in Molecular Biophysics, 2 of which in partnership with the IIT – Italian Institute of Technology
- 3 positions in Chemistry
- 4 positions in Physics
- 3 positions in Condensed Matter Physics, 1 of which In partnership with the IIT – Italian Institute of Technology
- 6 positions in Mathematics
- 4 positions in Neurobiology
Deadline for applications is 19 September 2013.

Positions available and fields of study
The Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) is accepting applications for 34 PhD positions with full fellowships in the Faculty of Sciences for the 2013 – 2014 academic year as follows:
- 5 positions in Molecular Biophysics, 2 of which in partnership with the IIT – Italian Institute of Technology
- 4 positions in Chemistry
- 7 positions in Physics
- 4 positions in Condensed Matter Physics, 1 of which In partnership with the IIT – Italian Institute of Technology
- 7 positions in Mathematics
- 3 positions in Mathematics for Finance
- 4 positions in Neurobiology
Admission requirements
Applications are invited from candidates of any nationality in possession of the following requisites:
- MS, MSc or equivalent completed by 31 October 2013
- born after 31 October 1983
- knowledge of English or Italian adequate to consent academic work and research
- never to have applied or not to have applied more than once for a PhD at the SNS
