Applications are invited from highly motivated graduate students with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, biophysics or physics to work towards a PhD. Areas of research include the structure and function of membrane proteins, especially secondary-active transporters, and structure determination of large macromolecular complexes by electron cryo-microscopy or cryo-tomography.
