UK: 9 PhD Studentships in Chemistry

The Institute of Chemical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University is advertising 9 PhD Studentships across a range of topics to start in autumn 2013.  There are 7 James Watt Scholarships, each providing stipend and full fees for 3 years and available to both UK/EU students (stipend £15k pa) and overseas students (stipend £10k pa), and 2 Doctoral Training Account studentships, each providing stipend (£13,590 pa) and fees at the EPSRC level for 3.5 years (available to UK/EU students with a minimum 3 years residency).
All applicants must have or expect to have a 1st class MChem, MSci or equivalent degree by Autumn 2013.  Selection will be based on academic excellence and research potential, and all short-listed applicants will be interviewed (in person, by 'phone or by Skype).
