The position is placed with the Software Engineering Research Laboratory (SERL) within the School of Computing at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. BTH has a long tradition in software engineering with the first educational program in the area being introduced in 1990. Over the years the research in software engineering has been expanded and strengthened, which led to a research environment that is highly international, with researchers and PhD students from over 10 different countries. 

We are looking for a strong candidate for a position as a PhD student in the area of software engineering with particular focus on effort estimation in agile software development. 

REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate should:

• Hold a Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant area
• Have a strong background in software engineering
• Have high proficiency in written and oral communication in English
• Be able to work independently as well as in teams.

 Appointment:

Only those who are being admitted or already have been admitted to postgraduate studies at an institution of higher education may be appointed to the position.
