Deadline: 26 Nov. 2012

A 3-year PhD scholarship is available in the Automation and Control group at DTU Electrical Engineering where we conduct research in the field of automation and control, including research in robotics.

The project is an integral part of the project RealRobots real-time controlled robots for the meat industry with participants from the Danish industry as well as researchers from Teknologisk Institut/DMRI and Copenhagen University.

The project will focus on research within the field of real time operated robots for the meat industry.

The end goal is to develop sensor and robot technologies which can replace the complicated and physically injurious work tasks carried out in slaughter houses today. The robots will also contribute to an improvement of the physical working environment as well as cost efficiency.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a MSc degree in electrical engineering with focus on robotics or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the MSc in engineering with focus on robotics. Practical experience and good programming skills are required.
