Due to continued expansion, we are now in a position to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants.
Coventry University is internationally known for its teaching excellence. The Faculty of Engineering and Computing is a large applied scientific and technological centre for learning and research. The Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering runs accredited courses in Mechanical, Automotive and Motorsport Engineering and at any one time has between 700 and 800 students. We have just moved into an inspirational new building with new, state of the art, manufacturing and experimental equipment.
Working under the supervision and guidance of a senior academic member of staff, the Teaching Assistant will contribute to the delivery of teaching and tutorials and to provide academic support for groups of students and contribute to the assessment of one or more modules.
Also under the supervision and guidance of a senior academic member of staff, you will provide personal tutorial support and/or mentoring to small groups of students.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain a wide range of experience.
You will have a degree in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification where appropriate. The ability to work in a team is essential.
