Position Overview | The
Postdoctoral Fellow will work on a project funded by the Australian
Research Council which aims to understand the genomic structure,
population genetics and phenotypic responses of Escherichia coli in the
external environment and the nature of the changes which occur during an
E.coli's cell transition from the host to the external environment.
The project's applied context is to better understand the role of E.coli
as a water quality indicator.

The Postdoctoral Fellow supports and contributes to an Australian Research Council Linkage Project examining the ecology and genetic structure of Escherichia coli in the context of its role as a water quality indicator. Position Dimension & Relationships: The Postdoctoral Fellow supports and contributes to an Australian Research Council Linkage Project examining the genetic structure and phenotypic characteristics of Escherichia coli to understand the nature of the changes that occur during the transition of E. coli cells from the host to the external environment. The Postdoctoral Fellow collaborates with other members of the population biology of micro-organisms group, the Research School of Biology as well as external collaborators. |
