The PhD project may concern modern numerical and/or analytical methods with applications to the stability of trait-based ecosystem models (http://www.oceanlifecentre.dk/Projects/Fish_traits.aspx WP 3.5) or coupling across trophic levels and in particular the influence of small-scale heterogeneity on effective encounter rate (http://www.oceanlifecentre.dk/Projects/Coupling_across_trophic_levels.aspx WP 6.2). You are also welcome to suggest other projects in the scope of the Centre for Ocean Life. Please contact Jens Starke and outline your ideas at an early stage.

Qualifications
You should have a master’s degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent academic qualifications.
