Affordable renewable energy anywhere: A mobile hybrid renewable
energy generator With a rapidly increasing demand for energy, developing
countries face an urgent need to concentrate on developing renewable
energy. However, most distributed renewable energy generators require
high capital investment and are not suitable for emergency situations.
In this project, a rapidly deployable, highly efficient and light weight
mobile power generation unit will be designed to deliver uninterrupted
power to several rural villages together. However, technical challenges
in the power electronics system design and configuration optimisation
need to be addressed first. Applicants should have an excellent first
degree in engineering, ideally with specialisms in mechatronic,
electronic, electrical and or control systems engineering.
