Job description: The Department of Political Science and Public Management, University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a 4+4 PhD scholarship to be filled September 1, 2012. The PhD position is connected to the research programme “Beyond Class Politics”, which focuses on contemporary processes of welfare state reform in western democracies and analyzes the determinants of how and why individuals react to welfare state reform.
Your employment as a Salaried PhD Research Fellow is governed by the agreement of 1 October 2008 on Graduate Employees in government appendix 5 – protocol on PhD Research Fellows.
When applying for a PhD scholarship, please fill in the application form available on our web page www.sdu.dk/sam/phduk under the section Application forms for enrolment. Here, you will also find guidelines for preparing your project proposal in Political Science.
The application form should be accompanied by:
1. A detailed curriculum vitae
2. A certified copy of your BSc degree certificate including examination results
3. A project description (max 5 pages),
4. An abstract for above project description of no more than 250 words
5. Information on teaching experience or other forms of knowledge communication and
6. If relevant, a list of publications
All non-Danish documents must be translated into English and certified.
Applications will be assessed by a committee. When the committee has submitted its assessment, the applicants will receive their relevant part of the assessment. The committee may request additional documents, if so, it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the necessary documents. Potential candidates may be asked to come to Odense for an interview. (Travel expenses paid).
