Job description
An attractive 3-year
PhD position funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific
research (NWO) is now being offered by Maastricht University (UM). The
project aims to use oscillatory human brain activity as a tool to
investigate changes in neural communication in elderly as compared to
matched, adult controls. Changes in neural communication will be
investigated using visual paradigms in which effects of variations in
stimulus parameters, attention and learning will be investigated.
The project will be done in a collaborative context involving Dr. O. Jensen (Donders Institute, RUN), Dr. M. Roberts (Cognitive Neuroscience Department, UM), and Dr. P. De Weerd (Cognitive Neuroscience Department, UM). The research will be carried out in Nijmegen, in the Donders Institute for Neuroimaging. The PhD candidate will be part of the Donders Graduate School of Cognitive Neuroscience, and will obtain his/her PhD in Maastricht.
