Background
The Post Doc will be a member in a group that develops computational methods for partial differential equations. We collaborate in earthquake modeling with the Department of Geophysics at Stanford University and will now expand our activity in geophysics, climate and environmental research as well as life sciences. Frequent contacts with leading research organisations such as the Department of Meteorology at Stockholm University (MISU) and SMHI in Sweden as well as NASA Langley Research Center and Stanford University in USA will be required.
Research area
The Post Doc will develop and modify our high order accurate Navier-Stokes solver for use in climate modeling, aerodynamics, sound propagation and biofluid mechanics. The code will also be modified in order to be used for general conservation laws.
