Description
i. the coupling strength of mechanical-magnetic interactions,
ii. the local mechanism of visco-elastic behaviour …. by magnetic fields,
iii. the statistical analysis of these events and
iv. the computer simulations for comparison and further investigations.
The experiments start from preparation of those glasses, their mechanical and magnetic analysis and their magneto-mechanical coupling strength measurements. The PhD-studies will be in close cooperation with other partners in the Marie Curie ITNetwork and also partners outside the network.
The PhD enrolment is expected to be at the University of Goettingen, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Konrad Samwer.
