Sweden: Ph.D Student in Human-Computer Interaction

The focus of the research will be in interaction design for active energy management in the home, neighbourhood or on the move (e.g. electric cars). Your project tasks are to study current energy-related needs, design and build interactive prototypes that address such needs, and study them in their use context.
This is a four-year time-limited position that can be extended up to a year with the inclusion of a maximum of 20% departmental duties, usually teaching.  Doctoral students must be registered at KTH. The starting date is open for discussion, though ideally we would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
Form of employment: Time-limited
A suitable background for this position would be a Master of Science in Computer Science or Interaction Design. Good skills in programming or hardware are a plus. In addition to the traditional academic merits a degree project within human-computer interaction or interaction design, international experience and language skills are regarded as advantageous qualifications.
Applicants must be strongly motivated for doctoral studies, possess the ability to work independently and perform critical analysis as well as possess good levels of cooperative and communicative abilities.
