Deadline: 15th October 2012
DTU Transport invites applications for a 3-year Ph.D. position starting fall 2012. The Ph.D. project is financed by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.
The Ph.D. project concerns development of dynamic tour planning for Electrical Vehicles (EV) based on Intelligent Transport Telematics (e.g. GPS tracking and charging status information).
The candidate is expected to investigate the technical potential of EVs based on thorough assessment of energy consumption, charging patterns and driving behaviour and to determine the possibilities of dynamic tour planning based on existing methodologies.
The candidate is expected to contribute to teaching at the department. Topics will be related to Intelligent Transport Systems and/or Transport optimisation and the language will be English.
RequirementsCandidates must have a master degree in transport engineering, optimization, mathematics or equivalent academic qualifications, preferable with some experiences with transport applications and interest in Intelligent Transport Systems. The grade average of the candidate should fulfil the requirements stated at: PhD - Admission. Candidates are expected to be able to develop empirical and theoretical contributions to the subject and to have good command of the English language.
