About the Program
In May 2009, the UAEU announced the launch of the first PhD program at a national university in the United Arab Emirates.PhD Program Model
The program follows an American model, which involves one year of course work to be followed by research and the writing of a dissertation over a further two to three year period. Standards are high, with admission and program quality managed by the Board of Graduate Studies, chaired by the Provost, Professor Wyatt R. Hume.PhD Information Document
