Job assignments
PhD position in probability with focus on discrete space stochastic models, including random walks in random environment, reinforced random processes, and general processes whose behaviour depends on its past path. The main part of the research will be theoretical, with possible application to some other disciplines, e.g. economics.Eligibility/Entry Requirements
Applicants should have a strong Masters (or equivalent) degree in mathematics or mathematical statistics, and should have taken a sufficient number of courses in probability theory.Proficiency in English is a requirement.
Basis of Assessment
The employment of doctoral students is regulated in the Swedish Code of Statues 1998: 80. Only those who are or have been admitted to PhD-studies may be appointed to doctoral studentships. When an appointment to a doctoral studentship is made, the ability of the student to benefit from PhD-studies shall primarily be taken into account.
