HOW TO APPLY
- Up to 22 Scholarships will be available to commencing
undergraduate or postgraduate international students each year,
consisting of –
- Two Higher Degree by Research scholarships equivalent to the full-time fees and stipend for the recipient's enrolling in a Masters by Research or Doctoral course of study; and
- 20 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships equivalent to one-half of the full-time fees for the recipient's course of study.
- Each scholarship will be awarded for the duration of the recipient's course, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
- Applicants must –
- not be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand;
- have gained and formally accepted a place in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Australian Catholic University (ACU);
- attend at the relevant ACU campus as a full-time student;
- not be in receipt of another major scholarship or award;
- not be attending ACU as a Study Abroad or Exchange student.
- Applications should include –
- details of the applicant's course of study at ACU;
- evidence of academic merit including achievement of an average of at least 80% across the applicant's secondary study(for undergraduate students) or undergraduate study (for postgraduate students), whether at ACU or elsewhere.
- The Scholarships may be awarded each year on the recommendation of a Selection Committee consisting of the Executive Director, International, the Executive Dean of each Faculty (or nominee), the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Associate Director, International Admissions and Student Relations and the Associate Director, International Marketing and Recruitment.
- In considering applications, in addition to the eligibility and
selection criteria, the Selection Committee may give consideration to –
- the diversity of the source countries of applicants and of the courses in which they are enrolled (including across a spread of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and research programs and campuses); and
- in the case of applicants undertaking research degrees, the alignment of the applicant's intended research with the research strengths of the University.
