China: Ubiquitous Sensing Lab at University of Jinan (UJN)

UJN is seeking 2-3 highly motivated MS students to work in the research area of wireless networking and mobile computing. Successful candidates will be automatically eligible for applying three years’ support of Chinese Government Scholarship. 
Supervisor: Yuan Zhang (PhD, Senior Member of IEEE, Member of ACM, Associate Professor) 

Current Research Fields: (1) Mobile Phone Sensing; (2) Wireless Sensor Network; (3) Wireless Security

Eligibility: Applicants must be/have: 
(1) A citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health; 
(2) Not a registered student in Chinese universities at the time of application; 
(3) BS or BE holder (under the age of 35) in the field related to Mathematics, Information and Communication Technologies, or Computer Science/Engineering; 
(4) Proficient English in reading, writing and speaking; 
(5) Proficient in Java, C++, or other similar programming languages; 
(6) Excellent academic back ground with CGPA 3.5 and above. Ideally, the candidates are expected to have good knowledge of advanced mathematics (calculus, probability and statistics, etc), Linux, Computer Networks and Wireless Networks. 

Scholarship Coverage: 
(1) a waiver of fee for registration, tuition, internship and basic textbooks; 
(2) free on-campus dormitory accommodation; 
(3) monthly living allowance; 
(4) outpatient medical service and Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for international students in China.

China: SIAT Scholarships for MS and PhD Programs

Deadline: open across the year

Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science (hereinafter referred to as “SIAT”), offers 8 Master’s Degree programs and 2 PhD Degree programs to international students. The duration of a Master program is 2-3 years, and a PhD program 3-6 years. 

Applicants to PhD degree programs should:
A degree certificate and a graduation certificate will be awarded to those who have completed the prescribed courses and passed thesis/dissertation defense.
All the programs are offered in English.

Applicants to Master programs should:
 · have obtained a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, or an equivalent qualification; and · satisfy SIAT's requirements on physical fitness for pursuing the postgraduate program.
 · normally have obtained a master's degree from a recognized institution, and
 · satisfy SIAT's requirements on physical fitness for pursuing the postgraduate program.


Language Requirements:
 Students enrolled at SIAT can choose to take all courses and conduct research activities in English only, or in Chinese (Mandarin). Knowledge of the Chinese language is not required. Applications with TOEFL or IELTS records (within two years from the examination date) are preferred.

China: Beihang University Chinese government Scholarship

About the Program

Overseas students, who want to study for Master's Degree and Doctoral Degree at Beihang University (BUAA), will be welcome to apply for the University Postgraduates Program at Beihang University sponsored by Chinese Government Scholarship. The University Postgraduates Program at Beihang University is a full time and full scholarship program, covering tuition fee, living allowance, normal medical service, comprehensive insurance, etc., but not international travel expenses. The program will start around the early September 2013 and the studying period is 2 to 3 years for master program and 3 to 4 years for doctoral program.

Qualification

For master program, the candidates should hold Bachelor Degree and be under the age of 35; for doctoral program, the candidates should hold Master Degree and be under the age of 40.
Applicants should have good command of English or Chinese and be able to take courses in English or Chinese. The fields sponsored by the University Postgraduates Program at BUAA do not cover the majors of languages study, including Chinese, English, etc..

China: 24 PhD Studentships in Energy Technologies

The International Doctoral Innovation Centre (IDIC) established in UNNC in 2012 is a venture represents an initial 170 million RMB (£17 million) investment by the University of Nottingham and its pioneering campus the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, Ningbo Bureau of Education, Ningbo Bureau of Science and Technology, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, UK and China’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
The IDIC’s Energy Research programme is closely associated with UNUK’s Centre in Efficient Fossil Energy Technologies (http://www.efetedc.ac.uk). Technological areas of interest include advanced combustion and gasification leading to cleaner power generation, coal-to-liquid transport fuels (petrol, diesel and higher fuel alcohols), non-conventional hydrocarbons, such as shale gas, the whole spectrum of carbon captures technologies covering integrated multi-pollutant control, enhanced oil/gas extraction technologies.
We are now recruiting up to 24 talented individuals on to a unique 4-year PhD programme to develop a new generation of multidisciplinary researchers to become future technological experts and business leaders in the Energy. Students will be based in the Centre in Efficient Fossil Energy Technologies located in the Jubilee Campus, Nottingham in the UK during the first year then move to The University of Nottingham Ningbo China at the end of the first year and stay there for 3 years where they will graduate. Each student will be supervised by a team of experts from both UNUK and UNNC.
We are interested in ambitious and talented students from a wide variety of backgrounds including Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Geology, etc.
To join us, you must have an excellent first degree and preferably a Masters qualification or equivalent, you must be able to demonstrate the capability and show the potential of conducting world-class interdisciplinary research. You must also have achieved a minimum English language qualification IELTS of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any element or TOEFL iBT 88 with no element less than 19. In return, we offer:
