Deadline: 21 Dec. 2012
The primary objective of this position is the theoretical development and the implementation in a large software project of methods for impact assessment of power system dynamics. This should be carried out by using results from off-line dynamic simulations, specifically, using the time series to determine if the system is in a safe an stable equilibrium point and to measure the quality of the stability by calculating different indexes using time series from a massive number of simulations.
This corresponds to work to be carried out in WP4 of the iTesla project.
It is envisioned that this work will be extended for off-line analysis of large archives of PMU records from the Norwegian Transmission Operator, Statnett SF.
The position also includes responsibilities in the supervision of Master’s final degree projects and cooperation with PhDs student working in the Smart Transmission Systems Laboratory. Teaching responsibilities will be minimum or will not be assigned.
Start date: As soon as possible and according to agreement.
The salary follows the directions provided by KTH.
