Sweden: PhD student position in Organisation/Communication

Job description
  • Work in research projects with focus organizational psychology and communication on board
  • Review relevant literature
  • Take part in planning and performing studies
  • Report the results, in written form and oral presentations
  • Take PhD courses as appropriate
  • Part of time is dedicated to teaching or supervision
  • Cooperate in a team with people of different qualifications and nationalities
  • Working with tasks in different project simultaneously.
  • International traveling to conferences and project meetings.
The applicant will be part of a research team involved with different research projects, both at national and international level. Capability of cooperation in project teams from the early planning phase to the reporting phase is required. Flexibility and creativity is important, as each research method is different. At times presentations in different projects overlap why a certain degree of ability to work under stress is necessary.

The following personal and social abilities are required: flexibility, creativity, initiative taking and cooperation. Intellectual skills required are creativeness, numerical analytic ability and problem solving ability. An ability to work in team but also independently at times when required.

We think you have a background as MSc in cognitive science, psychology, organizational science/psychology, behavioural science, information sciences, information, interaction design or similar.

The majority of your working time is devoted to your own research studies. As a PhD student you are expected to develop your own ideas and communicate scientific results orally as well as in written form. In addition, the position will normally include 20% departmental work, mostly teaching duties.

The employment is limited to a maximum of five years.

The undergraduates are normally taught in Swedish, although the graduate level teaching is in English. Thus good language skills are required. Applicants who do not have Swedish as native language should be able to teach in Swedish after two years of employment.
