Singapore: Summer Research Internship (SRI) Programme at NTU

Welcome to the Summer Research Internship (SRI) Programme website.
The Summer Research Internship (SRI) Programme is a university wide Research Programme initiated to stimulate a culture of research for the overseas undergraduates, where participants for this programme are able to develop research interest, strong sense of cross-cultural intelligence, gain a network of friends and a better understanding of our nation.
Eligible overseas undergraduate students will be given an allowance, and they are expected to fulfill a 8-week research attachment comprising project work at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), as well as the presentation of their research project at a closing ceremony. All participants will receive a certificate issued by NTU upon the completion of the programme.
Internship PeriodThe Summer Research Internship (SRI) Programme 2014 will run from 03 June 2014 to 25 July 2014. Students will be required to submit an internship report and prepare a poster at the end of the SRI programme.
Eligibility Criteria* Open to NEW students who have not been to Singapore previously.
* Open to all nationalities who are currently full-time students in an overseas university.
* Applicants preferably studying in these countries:
  • Europe
  • Americas
  • Middle East
  • South Korea and Japan
* Applicants must possess good academic track records.
* Applicants must have completed a certain number of semesters in their overseas universities by the time they attend the 
   SRI programme:
          i.   Applicants who are in a 3-year Bachelor programme must have completed 4 semesters in their study, or
          ii.  Applicants who are in a 4-year Bachelor programme must have completed 6-8 semesters of study, or
          iii. Applicants who are in a direct Masters programme must have completed 8 to 10 semesters of study
SRI Allowance
The SRI grant is tenable only for the duration of the programme at NTU. Each grant shall cover the following:
     * Tuition fees
     * One-time allowance of up to SGD3,000
