Switzerland: Open PhD Positions in Engineering Design and Computing

Deadline: Untill posts are filledETH Zurich
  • computational design synthesis of robots
  • computational design methods for digital fabrication (e.g. 3D printing),
  • structural design optimization methods for digital fabrication (e.g. 3D printing), and
  • multi-objective and multi-disciplinary design optimization and exploration methods.

Position: The newly established Engineering Design and Computing Laboratory has several open PhD positions to work on cutting-edge research projects within the area of computer-aided and computational design and fabrication.
Specific PhD research topics include:
Research is applied across a range of application areas including automotive, aerospace, consumer products, medical devices, and robotics. The position also involves teaching in the areas of CAD, technical drawing, engineering design, computational design and fabrication.
